Happy Stampers Fall Blog Hop!

Hi stamping friends, today I’m using the Stampin Up Fall Fest for the Happy Stampers Fall Blog Hop.  Happy Stampers are my downline group and we have been having great fun stamping and sharing together in our private

facebook group and just started a new challenge this week “Put Stars on it”…….you should come and join us!. JoinNowCTA  You will love all the awesome projects they are sharing in there.  You can sign up under any of us and become part of our Big Happy Stamping Family, we are spread across the country and we would love to have you join us.

I have two projects to share today, both created with the Stampin UP Fall Fest Stamp Set and matching Fun Fall Framelits - which you can also purchase as a bundle and save 15%

The first is a card and I used the MOJO MONDAY sketch for this week

Stampin Up Fall Fest card by Sandi @ www.stampingwithsandi.com

here is the sketch  – they are always a great way to start your creating.  I start by sketching it out on my Stampin Up Grid Paper, that way I know what size to cut the pieces~!

I’m trying to make my cards a little more simple so here are a few things I did to accomplish that today.

Let the Designer Paper do the work: especially if you have multiple layers…instead of trying to find card stock to match, stamp it, emboss it, etc…..grab a package of Stampin Up Designer Paper.  They are specifically designed to coordinate with each other and share the color combos….for my card today, I chose Motley Monsters from the Holiday Catalog…

Die Cut half my images:  While there is a great set of framelits to match the Fall Fest Stamp Set, to cut down on my cutting time, I stamped one of my images right on the whisper white card stock and then stamped and die cut the second.   That cut my die cutting time in half and because I popped up the cut out one with Dimensionals – I still have two layers.

Use Punches:  I used the 1-3/8 and 1-3/4 Circle Punches for my sentiment.  it’s so easy to stamp my images and punch them out …..and then add a mat by punching another circle just a bit bigger….  the sentiment is from the Good Greetings Stamp Set that you can earn for free with a $300. order (details below)

For the sentiment:  I wanted it to fit inside the circle punch, but it’s a long one, so I inked each word separately with my black marker, stamped the first one, cleaned the stamp, ink and stamped the second one right under it…..now it fits in the circle!…yeah!…I like adding a little background noise here too, so stamping the leaf again accomplished that for me and added my 3rd green element to my card…

I like to work in 3’s – it’s more appealing to the eye!.

Quick – Added Interest – Embellish with Candy Dots, Rhinestones and Pearls…..talk about instant gratification!…

Stampin Up Fall Fest Curvy Keepsake Box

My second project is also decorated with the Fall Fest STamp Set and it’s created with the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die.…I love this little guy, cut it twice, add some snail and Bam – you have this adorable little box…..

I cut my pieces and then I stamped them, first with the leaves from Fall Fest and then the small spatter from Gorgeous Grunge.

Once the box was put together, I tied the ribbon at the top and added three more leaves I had cut out and one of the adorable little Autumn Wooden Elements.
